Session Tester requires a Java Runtime Environment version of at least version 1.6.0_06. If you need it, download the JDK 6 Update n from here: Java SE Downloads Page. (Where "n" is the latest update.) Be sure to select either: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update n or JDK 6 Update n.
Installing Session Tester
On Windows, as of Session Tester version 0.2 beta, we have an MSI installer (thanks to the Wix and Launch4J projects.) After downloading the MSI file, just double click to start the installation.
On Mac OSX, download the zip file, and Safari will unzip it for you.
To install with a zip archive (such as on a Linux machine), unzip Session Tester into a working directory, such as /home/username/sessiontester/ or on Windows: C:/Tools/SessionTester. Be sure you have the lib and resources subdirectories in that directory, in addition to the SessionTester.jar file.
Starting Session Tester: Just double click on the "SessionTester.jar" file in your Session Tester directory to start it. The jar file is an executable. On Windows, if jar files are associated with an archiving program like Winzip, right-click, and select "Open With" and the Java Runtime to launch. Alternatively, run it from the command line: java -jar SessionTester.jar.
